Humour, Europe and Politics Award 2010... and the winner is...
Until the 10th of January, you could vote for the most humorous sentence expressed in the European political sphere in 2010.

Votes are closed now and the team of Generation 112 proudly announces that Angela Merkel obviously made you laugh the most! 41,32% of all votes went for Mrs. Merkel saying « Lunch went well … speaking about the quality of the food ».

Jean Claude Juncker reaches the second place. 28,45 % of the people voted for his sentence: "Going to Lybia (in order to participate at the EU-Africa summit) will give me time to rest a bit. I don’t dare to imagine that the debates I’ll probably have with Kadhafi will be as difficult as the debates with the European ministers”.

Mr. Juncker is followed by Nigel Farage (“I don't want to be rude but, really, you have the charisma of a damp rag and the appearance of a low-grade bank clerk») on the third place, obtaining 11,63 % of all votes. Nicolas Sarkozy and his "If there's someone who has stayed calm...that's me of course" come right after with a percentage of 10,11 %, followed on places five and six by Daniel Cohn-Bendit, who, for saying "All the minuses produce a plus, these are the new maths of the Barroso Commission" and "I don't know why you get upset, you are not yet President of the European Parliament (...) Shut up!" obtained 5.52% and 2.97% of all votes.

We hope you've enjoyed our little humorous initiative.
You can already start collecting funny sentences for our HUMOUR, EUROPE AND POLITICS AWARD 2011!
